My Kinda Kaydette (Danny)
Danny came to us at the age of 9. When we purchased him he had been abused, incorrectly trained and would even jump when someone would try to so much as touch him. Clipping without twitches and tranqulizers was not an option and he had become hostile toward people. Touching his ears or forehead was out of the question and any loud noises or fast movments would cause him to bolt and jump. After achieving 'Join-Up' our work progressed in a forward direction and with a firm but gentle hand Danny started to improve. He and I have been through a lot together. Two weeks after I purchased him he'd been purposely overfed by a fellow competitor (he was ahead in point standings)and almost died from the severity of the colic, then during a warm up ride at another farm the day before a show Danny's hoof got caught in a hole in the ring. Trying not to fall on me he ripped most of the muscles in his shoulder and had to be out of work for 3 months. He definately seems to be our most accident prone horse and gets himself into a bunch of messes...mostly because he is so inquisitive. He is my personal Dressage/Hunter horse and is not used in our lesson programs but he loves visitors and treats! He's enjoying being loved.... |

Major Exposure (Radar)
Radar came to us at the age of six. He has been shown Western Pleasure and was trained by Cleve Wells and Rick Gervasio. His personality is UNBEATABLE! We often joke that he's a big dog...he will lick you to death if you let him! He loves kids and loves to give lessons (doesn't mind the treats they give him either haha!). He has AQHA points and will go English or Western. He is going to start showing again this season!
